Surf Lessons - 15 Years in Service
Rivers To The Sea (RTTS) was started by Maui born and raised twins Tide and Kiva Rivers over 15 years ago. When friends came over from the mainland, Tide and Kiva would often take them out to some of their favorite surf spots and teach them how to surf.
Seeing how much they, and even more so, their friends enjoyed the whole experience, a light bulb went off and Rivers To The Sea was born. And unlike other activities companies, their sole focus was on surfing lessons. It was the first exclusive surf school on Maui.
Beautiful Surf Location
One of the things that sets RTTS apart from other surf schools is their location. Growing up on Maui, Tide and Kiva have had the chance to explore just about every surf spot on Maui. Their goal was to find the best location for both first time and experienced surfers... and they found it! They take you to a surf break easy enough for beginner surfers to catch, with a nice, comfortable ride and away from crowded surf spots. KAWABUNGA! Less people in the water = less pressure + more waves to catch. Yes, without a doubt... this is THE best place to learn how to surf on Maui.
Permitted and Licensed
It may come as a surprise, but many of the surf lesson companies on Maui are not legally permitted and licensed.
RTTS went through the rigorous process of meeting all the requirements set by the state of Hawaii for ocean water activities and is one of only two surf lesson companies on Maui licensed to operate in a secluded surf break away from highly crowded surf venues.
